The Philodendron Selloum Hope, also called Selloum, or split leaf philodendron, is an extremely tolerant, low-maintenance Philodendron type. These prefer to slightly dry between watering and will not tolerate cold spells, so keep out of breezy entrances or over cold vents. Don't allow the runoff water to sit in the saucer, leading to "wet feet," or permanently wet roots, as this will quickly lead to rotting roots and a decaying plant. These are known for their broad, slightly serrated edged foliage, and can grow very large once mature. Place in a medium-lit area and allow the pot to slightly dry between watering; if your top soil is still moist, skip the watering and check again in a few days!
