The Monstera Peru is well-known for its textured foliage, with almost a reptilian texture and sheen to the foliage. These monstera prefer to grow upwards, latching onto something like a moss pole. Allow your media to significantly dry between watering, and the plant can handle slight neglect from underwatering, but also thrive from increased humidity, though they also grown fine in average household humidity. Never allow runoff water to sit in the saucer, creating "wet feet," which can lead to rotting roots.
