Philodendron Billietiae is a hemi-epiphytic species of plant in the genus Philodendron native to Brazil, Guyana, and French Guiana. A relatively recent discovery in 1995, P. billietiae is known especially for its distinctive orange-yellow petioles and wavy, ridged leaf edges. A true collector's specimen, the largest leaf on this Billietaie measures over 14" long. Fully rooted in a 6" pot, with three leaves and a fourth unfurling.

Like most Philodendron, the Billietiae does best in well-draining, airy, chunky soil. Allow the media to slightly dry between watering, and always drain away any additional water that my accumulate in saucers. Bright, but indirect, light; too many hours of direct light or direct sun could scortch the leaves. Average household temperatures are usually fine for your Billietiae; 65-80 is ideal. Billietiae appreciate higher humidity; just imagine the native habitats it emerges from-- "jungle" like conditions; super high humidity, nice breezes, and frequent rainfall. Without adequate airflow, the plant could develop fungal infections, so always ensure you have good air movement in high humidity.
